First Year Spiritual Emphasis

Every year the Jr. High and High Schoolers from Bubba's school go out to the Christian Campground behind Lopez Lake (the same one that we go out to for summer camp) and spend 3 days having fun, being goofy all the while growing closer to each other and ultimately to the Lord. It is a unique and special time for these kids and the highlight of the year!

Venturing into Junior High this year meant that he was joining the others in the right of passage to attend this trip. Nessa even gave him the pep talk on everything he needed to know to survive!!

This year the theme verse was Matt 22:37-40 which all the small group times and chapel sessions worked from that.

Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.'This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."

One of the activities is for each team to come up with a skit that goes along with the theme. The more wild and crazy...the better.
