Sheer Panic!

Imagine this... you are on the countdown to your family cruise...less than 3o days in fact...you grabbed your camera to take a picture of your darling teenage son doing something silly.....and...

NOTHING!
the lense won't open! You try another battery....you frantically try a gazillion times more to get it to work! and still...
NOTHING!

Your heart sinks...because..more than anything you want to be able to take pictures on your vacation! Thankfully, you do have other cameras...but not ones you like or small ones that you can just tote around.
This isnt of course the most expensive camera...so worst case scenario you could replace it...but who wants to spend the money on that?? At last you come to your senses...grab the box you saved and call the Customer Service! Wouldn't you know it...they closed 1/2 hr before! Figures!
Your mind instantly goes into action with "Plan B"....
The next morning you get up early to call the Customer Service and speak to an extremely friendly gentleman who seems to understand your dilema! (Vacation without camera...just can't happen!) Within a few minutes he confirms that yes... your camera is still under warranty and all you need to do is ship it to the nearest repair facility (which thankfully happens to be in Cali!) and wala...they will take care of the rest! Whew!
Tuesday you ship it overnight (thanks to your work!) and wouldn't you know it...Thursday you get an email saying its on its way back! Friday...it arrives....good as new and ready for a Cruise Vacation!!
WOW!!
Now... let me just give a shout out to Olympus Cameras for their OUTSTANDING Customer Service and repair department!! YA!!
