Mid State Fair

It's been somewhat of a tradition that every summer we head up to Paso to enjoy some fun in the sun. We usually time it to when the Christian Artist is there performing at the free stage, and there have been a few years where we were "missing" one of the family members....but not this year! We were all together! We even managed to talk our friends from Shaver Lake into going to the fair.
We had grabbed carnival wristbands at Albertsons before the fair started (cause they are cheaper that way of course!) so once the kids got there...they hit the rides rolling!
We weren't able to make our schedules work to see Natalie Grant, but none the less...we had fun walking around and just checking things out. While the "teenagers" spent their time at the rides, Hubby and I actually took our time walking the exhibition buildings...even spending some time in the Home Economics building checking out the stuff...paying close attention to the homemade jam competition. Since I had spent two days last week making fresh plum and apricot jam.. I was curious to see how I matched up. I'm thinkin...I'm entering my jam "concoctions" next year!

I'm pretty biased I know...but are these not the cutest Teenagers on the planet??

Sisters Forever! ( haha!)

Cierra riding the bull! She did AWESOME! What a brave girl...there was quite the audience watching too!! That thing would have had me on the first turn!
This picture might be fuzzy....but there is NO mistaking what hubby is holding! Yes folks! That there is a little slice of heaven!! Funnel Cake!! ahh... It is illegal to go to the fair.. and not sample this beauty! Thankfully we shared that one...because it was oh...so delicious...but oh..so rich and yummy!!
